👍👎 Pros & Cons

✅ What we like

Fastest path from rough notes to a good-looking deck — genuinely minutes, not hours
Free tier needs no credit card and is enough for a proper test drive
Cheaper than Beautiful.ai at the entry tier, with exports in both directions
Cards are web-native, so decks double as shareable landing pages and documents

🤔 What could be better

The credit system is easy to burn through — heavy image models eat credits fast
PPTX exports can need 20-30 minutes of manual cleanup before an important meeting
Designs can look samey without manual tweaks; template fatigue is real
Strict brand guidelines and pixel-perfect corporate decks still belong in PowerPoint

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Is Gamma free?

Yes — the free plan gives you 400 one-time credits (roughly ten presentations) with Gamma branding. No credit card needed. Credits do not refill, so pick cheaper image models to stretch them.

How much does Gamma cost?

Plus starts around $9/month billed annually (1,000 credits/month, no branding), Pro around $18/month annually (4,000 credits, custom branding, analytics, API). Ultra at $90/month is overkill for most users.

Can Gamma export to PowerPoint?

Yes — PPTX export is supported on all plans, plus PDF, PNG, and Google Slides. The catch: web-native cards can shift in PowerPoint, so always open the exported file a day before your meeting.

Does Gamma remove the watermark?

The Free plan keeps 'Made with Gamma' branding on exports. Plus removes it, while Pro and Ultra add fully custom branding.
